The room was very pretty, fairly new and very pleasant. I liked it a lot. I didn’t like the breakfast because it was only bread with jam/butter and croissant, juice and coffee. There was no fresh fruit or any cold cuts. When I asked for a savory spread instead of jam, they said no, that they serve a French breakfast. The entrance from the highway with a car is tricky.

It’s close to Espelette and the surrounding villages, and the setting is calm even though the road is nearby. The breakfast was too “French” for our taste… but that’s a matter of preference.

The place is secluded, yet very close to all the tourist towns. It’s a cozy spot surrounded by nature. The breakfast is very complete and the service is great.

The municipal tax for this accommodation was shockingly high at 14,40€ for one night for two people, which seems excessive even for a 4‑star hotel.
