“Disgraceful.”
We were told upon arrival that the place was no longer operating as a B&B, and we weren’t the only ones to be let down. When I called the booking number provided for the property, the person on the line was aggressive and laughed at the inconvenience we experienced. They didn’t inform us of the change or offer a refund, which is appalling, especially since my partner and I weren’t the only guests treated this way. Eventually my partner had to book another accommodation, costing us an extra £90 for the trip.
We really liked the guest house – it was very clean and had everything we needed for our short stay, and it’s close to the city, so I’ll definitely book it again when I visit Cardiff.
The place was well‑situated for a concert at The Globe. The equipment was old (doors were hard to open), and essential items were missing: no bin in the room or bathroom, no mirror in the bathroom, no bedside table, and the TV had no channels.
The property did not exist.
