We stayed at Costa Liz Island Resort and it was honestly one of the most relaxing and peaceful trips we’ve had 🤍 Everything was so convenient and stress‑free, especially since we traveled with seniors. From the shuttle service to and from the resort, clean and cozy rooms, great amenities, delicious food, and super accommodating staff — they really made us feel taken care of the whole time. If you want to feel relaxed, calm, close to nature, and somehow still feel like a VIP, this is the place. 🌴 One thing we really loved was how peaceful the area was. While strolling by the beach, we noticed that this side felt so calm compared to the other resorts with loud karaoke, budots, remix music, and nightlife everywhere. Here, you can actually hear the waves and enjoy the breeze 😌 But if you also want a little fun and nightlife, it’s just a short walk away, so you still get the best of both worlds. Very child‑friendly too, which made the trip even more enjoyable for the whole family 🤍 Plus points because it’s walking distance to shops and restos, though honestly, their own resto and bar already made staying in so worth it too 🍹 And thank you for making my husband’s birthday extra special. We truly appreciate all the effort and warmth. This will definitely be our go‑to place whenever we visit Bantayan again. 🤍

The staff were very nice, but that was the only positive thing. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. Unfortunately we cannot understand how this hotel gets such good reviews. We are experienced travelers in Asia and have stayed in many different hotels – but we have never had such a bad experience. There were many ants in the room (see photo). That is an absolute no‑go for us. Additionally, the room was never cleaned at all during our entire stay, even though we were assured at check‑in that it would happen every two days. Since we were only there for four days, we at least expected one cleaning. On the third evening, when we came back from the beach, we honestly didn’t care because we were leaving early the next morning – but that still does not match what was promised. The facilities were extremely basic: the bathroom had no toothbrush cups, and there was no hand soap at all. The shower looked very cheap and poorly maintained. The so‑called “beach towels” were more like small towels – totally unsuitable. Luckily we brought our own. Breakfast was not included, which is fine in principle. However, we tried it once and were very disappointed. The map said “butter or jam” – and indeed the jam was charged separately. Also, breakfast was advertised as “extraordinary” – we cannot confirm that. For us: once and never again. After that we only ate outside. The orange juice was especially disappointing – it was just powder with water. In a country like the Philippines, where fresh fruit is everywhere and cheap, we would at least expect fresh juice. The noise was also a problem: already around 5:30 am the night was over, because roosters from the neighborhood were extremely loud.

We ran into an issue with our first room, but the hotel quickly sorted it out to our satisfaction—great service! The property sits on a beautiful stretch of beach where the water is calm, and after a short walk you reach the Hungry Beach center with excellent restaurants, the Black Pearl cocktail bar and plenty of shops and cafés; beach loungers are free, breakfast is cheap, and the staff are consistently friendly and helpful. Across from the entrance there’s a lovely little shop selling handmade chains, dreamcatchers and shell mobiles, worth a look, and you can even watch the artisans at work; a dreamcatcher costs just €1.50. There really wasn’t anything to complain about, and any minor issue was dealt with instantly.

A very good location, outdoor space. The restaurant is nice and the breakfasts are very good. The street‑side room is very noisy from 5 am. There is no fridge and the housekeeping was not done during our stay (4 nights).
