I was satisfied with the breakfast, the lounge use, and the dinner (which required a separate reservation). The staff remembered the note I left during the booking and gave my family a special memory, so I’m grateful and this trip will stay in my memory for a long time. I plan to recommend it to people around me. Three generations went together and everyone was satisfied. Even though the property is old, it’s well maintained and clean, and all the staff are experienced and friendly. The pudding was delicious. If I ever go to Beppu again, I’d definitely stay here once more.

The scenery of the accommodation was charming, and the hot springs were great because the indoor and outdoor baths changed daily, letting us experience both. My parents were very satisfied. While eating kaiseki, a mosquito appeared in the dish. I told the staff, but they simply took that dish away without any apology or explanation, and then served the next dish as if nothing had happened, which was unsettling. Seeing a bug in the food was shocking, and the staff’s silent dismissal of the issue felt disappointing. I wasn’t looking for special compensation, just a simple apology would have made it less disappointing. Other aspects were generally satisfactory, so this incident made an otherwise good stay feel a bit let down.

The facilities and meals were good.

“Great onsen. Great location”

Great onsen, great customer service. I book 2 types of room. Futon and western style. The western style the bed was not that great. The bed is quite soft. Not suitable for elderly

“For a above 80 year old hotel, it’s quite good”

The onsen was great, but the shower spray was too harsh, the water pressure felt too high, and the fridge cooler could have been colder.
