Everything was fine. The hotel is a great starting point for hikes. The in‑hotel restaurant is gold, because many restaurants in the Palatinate Forest have recently closed or only open Mon‑Sat. This one is positive daily open. Our request was not answered.

The hosts were friendly, the kitchen was excellent, and the breakfast was just as good.

The food is superb and highly recommendable, and the breakfast is also good and plentiful. Overall the hotel feels dated and would benefit from some renovations and upkeep; the mattresses are no longer new and are already quite worn.
