The place is very quiet and pleasant, with good service. It’s ideal for relaxing, and the nearby attractions are a short distance away, whether for dining or to reach beach locations.

From the outside the manor house looks very nice with a pleasant garden, but the staff were rather unfriendly and we didn’t feel welcomed. The house is clearly old; it smells musty, the furniture is old (though some pieces were somewhat charming), and the combination of poorly ventilated rooms, old carpets, old curtains, and grime in the bathroom (the shower rod falls out of its holder) is off-putting. The breakfast was mediocre—everything was present, but the quality was disappointing, and the door to the breakfast room was shut on us, which didn’t help us feel comfortable. Overall, there is a noticeable lack of a warm atmosphere.
