“Smelly room”
The front desk staff was always available, yet I accidentally booked this hotel because my computer had too many tabs open, and when I asked for a cancellation and refund the staff refused. I was surprised, because why would a hotel want a guest who doesn't want to stay? I tried to make the best of it, but the room smelled like sewage, especially in the bathroom. We asked the receptionist for a room change, but instead he and another staff member poured a drain cleaner down the shower and sprayed the curtains with air freshener, which only worked for about 20 minutes while the rest of our stay was in a stinky room. The room looked shoddy: the TV was crooked on the wall, the shower curtain wouldn't close, etc. I know it's a budget hotel, but it shouldn't be this terrible.
