The hospitality at Casa do Coura is genuinely amazing. The facility is well thought out, providing comfort in a beautiful setting. It is extremely clean and quiet with super comfortable beds. Breakfast is outstanding—fresh with lots of options! The location is a bit off the main path, but that is what makes the setting so unique and tranquil. It was a welcome respite on our Caminho.

The breakfast and service feel like waiting for your mother to make breakfast and dress you for school; the attention and location are unbeatable, homemade breakfast with freshly squeezed juice and freshly baked buns. The guests are a treasure of people ready to help you with anything. Rooms have air conditioning and private bathrooms, the lower lounge is huge with a fireplace for the cold. If you enjoy the tranquility of being in the countryside and well‑kept, it’s the perfect place.

The host was exceptional, spending a lot of time showing us the beautiful grounds with fruit trees and farm animals. She went out of her way to prepare an evening snack for us, and when we left before the posted breakfast hours she had already set out a generous breakfast that we could even keep for lunch on the Camino. The location is a bit remote from downtown, where the boat taxi crossing into Spain for the Camino is.
