“Overpriced and under delivered on quality.”

I was charged almost $500 for one night and had to endure frequent train noise right outside my window. In the morning, after a terrible night’s sleep, I had to settle for a low‑quality coffee and a disappointing breakfast. The scrambled eggs were basically square chunks of tasteless goo, and they mentioned potatoes for breakfast, but there were none. At least the pancake machine worked. The staff were fine, but the rest of the experience was very poor. I feel I overpaid and the hotel under‑delivered. Trains ran all night, blasting me out of sleep. The coffee and breakfast were of very poor quality, and the pool was empty.

“Absolute disaster.”

We arrived late in the evening, exhausted, and the reception was not welcoming at all – no smile or friendly greeting. We were given a key card for room 138, but it didn’t work. After trying again, we found the room already occupied, so we disturbed guests in the middle of the night. We were then moved to a new suite, where we discovered pubic hair in the sink and bathtub, hair everywhere on the floor, and a towel that had not been replaced and was covered in brown footprints. We have never experienced anything like this before. The next day we went to reception, explained the situation, and asked for new towels. A young man at reception said he would handle it, but when we returned that evening the towels were still not replaced. Breakfast was another letdown: almost no staff were present, no one cleared or wiped the tables after guests, and we had to take a napkin and water ourselves to clean the table before eating. Only one woman was seen working in the kitchen, and she seemed overwhelmed. Overall, the level of cleanliness, service, and organization was extremely disappointing and far below what we expect from a hotel, reflecting poorly trained reception and housekeeping staff. We have stayed in many hotels worldwide, but never faced anything like this.

A huge, comfy suite with a view of the bay, though the occasional airplane noise was a bit annoying but the windows insulated it well.

The location is great—close to everything without being in the middle of San Francisco.

The room was spotless and roomy, with a good mix of kitchen gadgets, a big fridge/freezer, and a large smart TV that offered a nice view. The BART stop was a quick drive away and cheaper than parking in San Francisco. The only downside was the missing toaster, the AC was so loud we had to switch it off at night, and the unit above kept humming all night. The pool and hot tub had been out of service for weeks, still “awaiting replacement parts,” and when we tried to relax there the water was dirty and green.
