“Rockport is lovely. It would be great if the host had suggestions as to where to eat. When I asked he said “We don’t go”

Near downtown. The host seemed tired of being a host.

“We like the town and the folks we met there. It was a cute little seaport and we were able to walk”

The place felt a bit outdated for the price paid. The bedsheets were old and the carpet needed updating.

“Lovely home, easy parking, and you can walk everywhere.”

The continental breakfast was generous, featuring a nice variety of dishes, and the homey dining room and welcoming porch added to the charm. The spiral staircase, however, proved a bit of a struggle with my heavy suitcase, and if you’re a light sleeper the hourly church bells nearby might wake you up—though in such a small town you’ll hear them no matter where you stay.

“Great location and good value”

The host was helpful and the room was nice, and breakfast tasted very good. The Wi‑Fi was unreliable.

The location of this B&B was excellent! Richard and his wife were very friendly and always available to answer questions. The only thing that fell short of expectations was breakfast; my wife and I have stayed in many B&Bs where the owners take great pride in their breakfasts, and this one felt underwhelming, more like what you might find at a small Holiday Inn. The website calls it a continental breakfast, but even within that category it was disappointing. Still, the location was unbeatable, so overall it was a nice experience.
