“Loved the breakfast and the staff!”

The spot was perfect. The bedrooms were gorgeous. The Sri Lankan breakfasts were delicious. The staff were exceptional. We later found out we had paid a lot more by booking ahead.

“Fabulous hotel with great shuttle service”

We had a lovely stay at Belmont. The airport transfer was very efficient and we were warmly welcomed when we arrived. The rooms were well furnished and spacious, and we dined at the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food was lovely and the staff fabulous. Nothing to complain about – we loved everything.

“Excellent airport hotel with great food and nice rooms.”

A modern hotel near the airport with a free shuttle. The rooms were well equipped, nicely decorated. Dinner and breakfast food was excellent. The pool was nice for cooling off. The staff were friendly. It would have been better if our requested Sri Lankan breakfast had been ready at 7.30 am, since we had to leave for the airport at 8. We only managed to eat about half of the tasty curries and string hoppers in the 10‑15 minutes after they arrived, which was a pity and could have been avoided if it had been ready when we got there. It was probably the most expensive breakfast of our three‑week trip! An easily fixed problem though.

A very comfortable boutique hotel close to Negombo’s beaches. The staff were attentive throughout our short stay. The highlight was the superb Sri Lankan breakfast. Finding the hotel without Google Maps would have been difficult because it is tucked away off the main street.

The shuttle was handy, the room was spacious and spotless, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the food—especially the Negombo prawn curry—was amazing. The location isn’t great, but for a single night it’s fine because it’s close to the airport.
