“Iloinen positiivinen yllätys”
The staff were very friendly, cleaning was good, and the restaurant and bar were open 24/7. Breakfast was fine, especially the tomato, cucumber, good feta, Greek yogurt, fresh melons, fresh bread, and eggs both boiled and in another form; it was lovely to eat outside, and inside was also possible. Our balcony was large, the sea was visible, the sun shone from the morning and was shaded in the evening. A small roundabout right in front of the hotel seemed odd at first, but during our long stay we entertained ourselves on the balcony watching the traffic circle. The room had air‑conditioning, a fridge, and a good hair dryer, which was nice. The wardrobe and boxes were available, making it easy to arrange belongings. It’s good that the hotel has two stars; expectations were low and were met in every way. A 24‑hour kiosk nearby was great, and the local restaurants are popular and cheaper than in town. The nearby beach works well. The hotel was a good walk (about 1 km) to Old Town, and there was a regular grocery store nearby and a larger market a bit farther away. The room was small and the bathroom even smaller; the shower curtain was stuck on the wall, but it was manageable. Breakfast could have had more fresh fruit occasionally, the sausage selection was limited, and the boiled eggs could have been less cooked, but overall the price‑quality ratio was spot on.
