Nothing good here. The photos are fake compared to what you actually get, and the owner isn’t honest. The pictures mislead you; they don’t match reality, and the AC isn’t working—my photos prove that.

The room was decent and somewhat clean, but when it rains water leaks through the roof and dampens the bed. The shower curtain is moldy, though the room doesn’t smell bad, just humid. Flies are everywhere, but that’s typical for the area. The villa sits in the middle of nowhere, hard to reach by bike because you have to navigate dirt roads, plants, and narrow paths, and watch out for the mud of the rice fields. Going out at night is also an adventure, and there are no restaurants that deliver. The hot tub, the main reason to book, is very dirty and never actually hot—just a barely warm tub. It takes literally two hours to fill, and by the time it’s full the water has already cooled. The AC works well, and the bed is surprisingly decent, but the bathroom has long lost its battle against humidity. The place could be so much better if they simply cared about proper maintenance. On the bright side, the staff is kind and accommodating.

It’s cheap. Too many flies, so we had to close our door every second. The location is bad; the road inside the property is narrow and the grass is higher than my car. The room does not look like what was shown.

We were very well welcomed by Putu and his wife. They brought us dinner because we arrived a bit late. We booked the Monte Batur excursion with them. The guide, t‑rex (that’s his nickname), was great and had a lot of energy, making the trip fun. The area has a lot of flies due to agriculture, but no drama.
