Like a hidden gem, the hotel’s discreet entrance among a handful of nearby hotels offers a charming seclusion; a sudden hush and a step into a natural world with a slightly romantic wild garden. Every view from the hotel opens onto beautiful nature—pine trees, oaks, and other trees surrounded by scent and insect sounds. The dining room and entrance are simple, clean, and nature‑oriented. The room needs a bit of renovation but is very clean. The kitchenette looks fragile. The bathroom is very simple, clean, and functional. The balcony provides an insane view and significantly uplifts the sparse room. Located in a nature park, a short walk takes you to a dreamy sandy beach with a dune and a river mouth into the sea, and the whole area feels like a quiet oasis that we’d gladly return to. From my perspective it’s a perfect hotel for outdoor activities without frills! The service is always there, friendly, and helpful. The bathroom and kitchenette need renovation. Instead of the kitchenette, a small couch could make the room more inviting and would upgrade it. Some outdoor furniture is partly in need of repair.

Amalia Hotel is just a short walk from the beach and two restaurants where we dined wonderfully. The rooms are spacious, clean, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. There is also a very convenient parking area for guests. Breakfast offers both sweet and savory options, including Greek yogurt, honey, jams, cereals, fresh fruit, eggs, prosciutto, tiropita, spanakopita, bougatsa, croissants, homemade sweets—everything for all tastes and habits! What made the stay special was the family‑run management that made us feel truly welcomed at home. The managers are discreet yet very attentive and ready to meet any guest requests. On the last day we unfortunately lost the room keys on the beach, but our disappointment was met with a smile and “It’s not a problem, don’t worry.” If I ever return to Kalogria, I have no doubts about where to stay!
