Hotel Route-Inn Court Karuizawa

I liked the big bathtub and the meals, but there was only one washing machine, so I had to wait.

“Ok for the price, could be better.”

The location is nice, a little away from Karuizawa but not too far, making the price more affordable; a big supermarket is a 5‑minute drive, there’s free parking, and a bakery just over the road; the staff are friendly and helpful; the breakfast is okay, but more variety would help; when my family and I were eating, an elderly man collapsed and the staff called emergency services but seemed untrained in first aid, which disrupted breakfast and they apologized to each table one by one. The breakfast is good but limited in choice; the bed isn’t that comfortable; the public bath is small, can get crowded in the morning and late at night, and lacks ventilation.

The room was spacious and the breakfast was decent, yet the walls were thin and we could hear the neighbours clearly.

Breakfast offered few options but at least it was free; however the room and bath gave off a strange smell and the futon was old and far from comfortable.
