“Awful”
The location was good. Honestly one of the most weird hostels we have been to. Besides the fact that the staff was weird, the overall vibe was weird, the hostel is not social at all, there weren’t any curtains (only stickers over the windows, so it was very bright), they had taken off the balcony doorhandles, the pool is literally on a busy road and there were cockroaches in the bathroom, we also had a weird situation happen to us. After we had been staying in the room for 3 nights already, we came to our room late in the evening on the 4th night and found that all my stuff had been moved to the bed of another girl and all her stuff to mine. My pyjama, charger, clothes, toiletries etc. I, thinking that the girl had done this switched all the stuff back and texted the reception, since they aren’t here anymore after 20.00. When I texted them they asked me to check if all my stuff was still there and informed me that the girl had asked for another bed because the airconditioning was leaking onto her and they had mistakenly told her that my bed was free, but that they would look into it in the morning. Even though there was a lot of stuff in my bed. When I went down to the reception in the morning, the staff member (even though I don’t think he officially worked there) told me he was the one that had moved my stuff and that he had mixed up the bed numbers. He said it was an accident but other than that he didn’t really speak english. Later that day another staff member asked me about the situation and told me that he thought the bed was free because it looked so clean (which isn’t true because he had moved all the stuff that was in my bed to another bed). They didn’t really apologise and the third staff member told us that “this is what happens when they (him and the girl co-worker) aren’t here and someone else is sitting at the receptions” and that “stuff like this can happen”. He didn’t apologise at all. I don’t usually write reviews, but felt this hostel deserves it.
