The breakfast was super tasty and everything was fresh; the staff were very friendly and even gave my dog something occasionally.

We had stayed here before and it’s simply nice, a place to relax and launch good day trips, and the food at the rest stop was extraordinary—something you don’t expect. On the downside, there are no coffee spoons in the rooms, which is understandable because guests usually take them away, but we find that a real sourpuss and understand why they choose to offer disposable items.

“Bin einfach begeistert”

From the first minute you can tell the hotel is well run; the hospitality is genuine, not played. The rooms are generously sized, the view from the room or balcony is uniquely beautiful, the in‑house restaurant is worth a visit, and the breakfast is excellent.

“Passabel”

The rooms and bathroom were spacious and the view of Engen was nice, and having the option to make coffee in the room was practical. However, several pre‑trip questions were not answered, the on‑site staff were sometimes unfriendly, and the mediocre vending‑machine coffee in the restaurant cost 4.70 €—very pricey for a highway rest stop that also serves.
