The spot was convenient for exploring the city and it was super cheap, so it’s a decent budget option. I’d have picked a different guesthouse for a little extra money… I couldn’t handle another night. The cleanliness was poor—only the sheets and towels were somewhat clean, and even that wasn’t 100%—but at least there were no bed bugs. Safety was an issue: the front door stayed open most of the time, so anyone could walk in (the only lockable door was that one, and the lockers didn’t even have keys), forcing me to keep valuables close and feel unsafe at night. The rooms, especially the bathrooms, were tiny, so don’t expect much more than sleeping. The kitchen was also very small and not very clean. If you’re sharing with rude roommates, good luck sleeping: there was always at least one snorer, someone who returned at 1 am fully drunk and fell against the beds, people slammed the bathroom door against my bed, others started phone calls at 6 am or snacked at 2 am. I barely slept the whole stay—a horrible experience, though it wasn’t the hosts’ fault; just keep this in mind before booking a dorm. I’ve booked many dorms before, but this was the first time I faced such disrespectful and annoying roommates.
