The treehouse was truly amazing. It’s a joy for kids and lifts adults’ spirits too; just being up in the trees feels like a step away from reality. Inside, playful surprises keep popping up, making you wonder what’s next as you wander around the room. The grounds are full of vegetables and plants, and walking around Ruwan stops to point out what can be eaten or used in cooking, explaining names, scents, and uses for even the smallest leaves. Listening and smelling, you feel less like a tourist and more like you’re briefly part of someone’s daily life. The most memorable part was Ruwan himself—he’s just a good person who doesn’t overdo the welcome but is always there in subtle ways, talking about Sigiriya, plants, and the treehouse. Those moments felt special. After we left, he kept in touch like a friend, arranging cheap taxis and checking if we arrived safely. That kindness was more reassuring than I expected. Staying here felt lucky, and the food was truly delicious—no luxury, just real vegetable flavors, spices, and handmade taste. Every bite made me say “delicious.” The food felt like a shared experience with the place’s air and the cook’s time. I want to come back just to eat that again. Thank you, Ruwan, for the lovely treehouse, the plant lessons, the tasty meals, and for caring until the end of the trip. All of that will stay with me quietly. If I ever come back to Sigiriya, I’ll definitely stay here again.
