“Bad toilet and staff. We have to go collect key from somewhere”

The bed was fine. The staff and the key‑collection area were not. I received no information during booking.

Nothing positive. 1. I was emailed that the key pickup had to be done at another location only on the morning of departure; if I hadn’t read the email, I would have gone straight to the hotel and been clueless. 2. I called countless times to find out if I could leave two small suitcases; no answer despite the many calls – only the secretary answered, then nothing. 3. Keys had to be collected in an office 5 minutes on foot from the hotel. 4. They give you a bundle of 5 keys, some not marked; you have to try them all to open. 5. If you can’t pick up the keys before 22:00 due to any mishap, you’re out; no one answers the phone. 6. The receptionist didn’t speak good Italian; we had to repeat the information three times. 7. The bathroom smelled like a sewer, so I tried to open the vent, but it fell and closed by itself. 8. Hair in the bidet. 9. The terrace door was loose and wouldn’t close. 10. The sheets were old and dusty. 11. The purple towels smelled of old laundry, like after a wash that isn’t dried properly. 12. The terrace was rough with pigeon droppings and centuries‑old black dust. 13. The TV only had infomercials and similar channels (lottery numbers).

“Non ci tornerei mai”

Only the location was good. The linens were poorly folded, the bed was uncomfortable, the pillow was old and full of stains, the room was minimal, the kitchen was dirty and lacked dishes, and the fridge was unwashed. The moment I entered, there was a smell of old dirt.

The location was fine. The cleanliness was poor, the room was small, the sheets smelled bad. If I hadn’t checked in before 22:00 because of a late train, I would have slept on the street.
