The location is excellent and it offers great value; the host is very pleasant and helpful, but the walk from the parking to the property is a bit long.

Casa Bi Rosario is part of a farm estate where the buildings have been converted into holiday homes. Our house was very clean, well equipped, and had a lovely terrace. The garden with a pool and various seating options is well maintained and welcoming. The landlord is very friendly and always available for questions. We liked the countryside location in the Algarve; the nearest beaches are 30 minutes by car, and there are beautiful hiking options right nearby. The nearest shops are only a few kilometres away. We would gladly return!

The quiet setting and the property itself were nice. I stayed in a small annex made of rubble. The pool was very suitable for cooling off. Partly the equipment was lacking. The kitchen gear was good but not excellent; a pasta strainer and storage boxes or containers for food would have been nice. In the last nearly 12 months I’ve been to the Algarve four times. This apartment was the “worst” equipped. Wi‑Fi was only on the beautiful terrace. If I hadn’t brought my laptop, which served as a hotspot, I would have had no internet because both my mobile phone and tablet had no reception. I think the Wi‑Fi access for a place that advertises it needs to be handled differently and better. There was a coffee capsule machine. In my other stays, the capsules or tabs were provided for such devices; here they were not. TV was present but only Portuguese programmes and no way to connect other devices via cable or wirelessly. If the building Wi‑Fi doesn’t work, a SMART TV isn’t needed. For an international audience, at least an English‑language channel would be nice. These are small things that only add up to a well‑intentioned 7 points. For a highly rated accommodation, that’s simply too little based on my past experiences.
