The boutique hotel sits on a wonderful spot overlooking vineyards and close to the city, the room was large, clean, comfortable, with very cozy beds and a big shower; breakfast was reasonable, and there was a huge balcony with comfortable armchairs overlooking the vineyards and the pool, plus seating areas in the hotel garden, a gazebo and a ping‑pong table. The hotel is inside a family vineyard, but on Sunday it was closed. The pool was poorly maintained, perhaps because it was off‑season (though it was open). We expected a wine‑and‑vineyard experience that didn’t materialise on Sunday. The hotel restaurant closed at 19:30 and its prices were high. We came to the hotel for the pool and vineyard, and both disappointed us. The hotel itself was fine as a hotel, but not as a vineyard hotel.

The hotel’s location is generally very nice at the foot of the hills with a view of the vineyard, and the outdoor area is also beautiful, featuring a clean pool with a bar, a terrace with a pavilion, plenty of seating and a table‑tennis table. The hotel’s facilities are tidy for Georgian standards and the region. However, the city can only be reached on foot via a heavily trafficked road without a sidewalk, which is quite dangerous. With different staff and better service, a pleasant stay could have been possible, but in our case the service was cut back to a minimum in early/mid‑September. The room was never cleaned during our stay, the bed wasn’t made, and no new towels were provided. The check‑in began badly: because we didn’t speak Georgian, the receptionist seemed afraid and wanted to leave; when we spoke Georgian, she finally processed the check‑in, which involved handing over the key and giving no information about the hotel or breakfast. Breakfast was praised by other guests, but we couldn’t agree; the selection was okay for a small hotel but of low quality and composition, and it wasn’t fully set up until just before 10 am. The two breakfast rooms felt cold and impersonal. The restaurant advertised in the listing was not found; we asked around 20:00 after seeing other guests dine on the terrace, and we were told politely that there was no dinner service and we could only order wine. The highly praised terrace was of little use without food or drinks. The room was moderately clean, but the windows and fixtures were very dirty, and the bathroom had a strong odor, unsurprising given the cheapest sinks and toilets with a lot of debris. Though the hotel had been renovated recently, the room looked worn, especially the unprofessional bathroom installation. The shower cabin had no doors, so half the bathroom stayed wet after showering. The nights offered little sleep; the hotel was extremely noisy, hearing every guest walking down the corridor, the toilet flush in the room above us was loud, and the typical Georgian night noises were strong because the windows were not sound‑proof. The hallway was brightly lit all night, and the large door gap made the room very bright.

The hotel operates together with a winery, and the vineyard tour and wine tasting of local wines with purchases and re‑tasting were excellent; late check‑out was not an issue.
