The Vatican Lodge is a guest house. I had a clean and tidy room with decent space for my wheelchair. I could have breakfast in the room, but chose to eat at a nearby restaurant. Angelo, who runs the place, was very service‑oriented. The location is amazing, right near the Vatican, close to the Tiber River and some of the most famous sites like the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. I rolled everywhere. Vatican Lodge is not wheelchair‑friendly. There is an elevator up to the floor where the rooms are, and it is tiny. I had to pull the wheelchair into the elevator. I couldn’t sit in it because there wouldn’t be room for my legs. This is why I won’t return, but for those who are first‑time visitors, Vatican Lodge is right in the middle of everything.

The location is great, the neighborhood is lively. The facilities are Spartan. Breakfast outside with a very unfriendly waitress.
