“Avoid - terrible rooms, rude staff, serious safety issues not addressed”

The location is good, but we had a lot of issues and left early. The staff were dismissive and rude; water gushed from the ceiling lights, creating an unacceptable safety risk, yet they said it was out of their control. I paid for an upgrade to a suite and didn’t get the full upgrade amount back despite the serious electrical shock danger. The first room we got had mold on the bathroom ceiling, and the curtain was hanging off the rail. When we tried to complain, they shrugged it off as weather‑related instead of acknowledging their roof was in bad shape. Plants were growing through the tiles. I was accused of opening the balcony door to get the room wet until they saw it in person, and their reply was condescending, belittling, and rude. Another minor issue: they wouldn’t give us a room with a double bed even though we had booked one; all it takes is pushing the beds together to make a double. The hotel shows a lack of care and effort, and the staff culture reflects that. The place feels run down and tired—avoid it.
