Check‑in went smoothly and I had a pleasant chat with a young man about international solo travel, plus he handed me hot tea before I headed up to my room. The room was a bit worn but clean. Breakfast featured decent eggs and sausage. The hotel did what it needed to do for me, but if I pass through Medicine Hat again I'd pick a different spot. The location on Highway 1 meant traffic noise was loud, though it didn't disturb my sleep. The windows could use updating and better insulation.

The motel is close to the highway and works well for a quick stay. The staff were super nice and the room was comfortable. The only downside was the stairs to the second floor.
