Hotel Gaivota was recommended by a professional friend and it lived up to the hype! It sits right across from the Marina, and everything in Ponta Delgada is within walking distance. The breakfast was tasty and fresh. The place was spotless and very clean. The staff were awesome and helpful. The price was fair. I loved it here and will return when I go back to Ponta Delgada. Truly, I have nothing bad to say about this hotel.

The place sits in a great spot, the room was clean and comfy, and the staff were friendly and helpful, but you can hear everything from neighboring rooms and it’s a bit pricey.

The location was great, the harbour view from our room was superb, the spa facilities were wonderful, the staff were lovely, the room was comfortable and spacious, and the breakfast was delicious.

The staff were welcoming and responsive, the location was good, and the breakfast à la carte was tasty; the room was clean and the shower and shampoo came in small bottles. We stayed on the top floor, but the balcony roof was not continuous, so rain fell in and we couldn’t enjoy a wine view from the balcony because everything was wet. Also, the balcony access is only on the right, and the large table on the right blocks it, while the left side is blocked by chairs—this layout needs better thought in such a lovely hotel.
