“Very Hard to Recommend”
The lady and her young son who handled our complaints responded promptly in person, though nothing could be done about the problems. The apartment’s layout and size were adequate, and I appreciated the comment about a future StarLink connection, though they said it couldn’t proceed until the roof was fixed or reinforced. Their English was hard to understand, but they smiled warmly and seemed earnest about listening. We paid about $275 a night for the most expensive “Three Bedroom Apartment” over five nights, which feels steep for Coonabarabran. Most of the apartment was dirty and shabby, especially the woodwork, though the kitchen and bathroom were comparatively better. The beds were hard and uncomfortable, the lawns and gardens were neglected, and there was no internet, streaming TV, or Foxtel. We left after three nights instead of five because we were very dissatisfied with the overall experience.
