The room was spotless and the staff were super helpful when I checked in late.

“静かで都会的”
The location is quiet, right next to Lawson, with sports facilities, a wedding hall, a large apartment building, and Hakodate Mountain straight ahead; the hotel is old but surprisingly quiet and urban, which makes it a good recommendation. Although the building is dated, the interior has been kept clean.

The hotel’s location is convenient for visiting Goryōkaku. However, the hygiene was terrible – from the entrance, hallway, rooms, and laundry area there were foul smells, moisture, bathroom mold, torn wallcoverings and dirty windows, making the whole place unsanitary. I would not recommend it to families with children; the house dust gave me hives. If you’re traveling alone on a tight budget and don’t care about cleanliness, it might be an option, but otherwise stay away.
