“A nice experience for one night”
It's a lovely house in the middle of vineyards and the room and bathroom were beautifully appointed, as was the vast kitchen / dining / sitting room. The staff is very helpful and pleasant and we enjoyed the complimentary wine tour and tasting. The breakfast was fine, as was the charcuterie and cheese plate that we ordered for one of the evenings. When we had a couple of issues, we felt we had been heard and our feedback taken seriously. We were trusted to be in the house with all the wine and beautiful things. Attention to detail was missing, such as a towel in the bathroom that had holes and was literally falling apart. This is unacceptable for the room rate. I would not recommend staying on a Sunday night. Because all the staff are off from Saturday 6pm to Monday morning, there is no service in the kitchen, bedrooms or bathroom (listing says daily room service). So breakfast is left in the fridge / on the counter on Saturday and you help yourselves on Sunday morning. This meant that three couples left their breakfast things in the kitchen on Sunday morning, as you would expect. But when we returned in the afternoon all the washing up was still there, and the dishwasher was full of dirty things (both of which we sorted out). So you have to look after yourselves on a Sunday, which is different from all the other days, but costs the same. If it was an Airbnb we would expect to do our own thing, but it isn't, and it wasn't explained to us
