The location is central and the price is competitive, yet the hotel feels too anglicised – even the name “The Originals City” should be French in Perpignan. The “do not disturb” cards are printed both ways with YES and NO, which feels excessive and self‑deprecating, especially in a French‑speaking country where such practices are prohibited in places like Quebec.

The shower is big, the distance from the train station is walkable, the staff are very helpful, and the continental breakfast includes fresh fruit salad, meats, cheese, yogurt, sausage, scrambled eggs, croissants, and pain au chocolat. However, the breakfast room is cramped in a small space and the air‑con unit is noisy.
