The pool was nice. Reception and bar/restaurant staff were friendly, sports were shown on the bar TV, and a water cooler with refill bottles was located at the end of each floor’s corridor. However, the neighbors at the back of the carpark were questionable; I avoided parking near them because someone threw a burrito onto my car.

The place was welcoming, parking was easy, and the location was good, yet the changing room area felt chilly.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was fantastic with a wide range of options for every diet. The property itself was brilliant, and a short walk to the centre was fine. The pool was a bit on the cold side. An unrelated issue was the addicts hanging around the main road behind the front of the building, which we used to walk into town; this was not a reflection on the property or staff but was unpleasant when heading to the centre, so we chose to use Uber instead, especially at night.

The room was acceptable, but the breakfast was terrible with very few choices and low quality. The spa was crowded with children.

The hotel was modern and friendly, but there was a distinct pungent smell of drains in the reception area and nearby. It didn’t detract from the overall stay, yet it left a lasting memory.
