The room was very clean and comfortable, right next to the station. Coffee isn’t delivered to the room; you have to go down to the first floor to get it. Green tea and a plum‑tea sachet are also available on the first floor when you check in.

The staff were kind and courteous. When I requested a room with a view of Lake Biwa (as I had had in a previous stay), I was told it would be possible, but I ended up with a room facing the station. I had mentioned that I was traveling with a child, yet the room was a smoking one (there was an ashtray and a faint tobacco smell).
