“Excelente”

The hotel is quite acceptable in terms of quality and price, the breakfast is very complete and the receptionist Ibrahim helped us find a taxi to the airport; he was very helpful and we are grateful.

The only thing that saved this place was its location, although it’s still not close to any public transport, and the receptionist who was genuinely friendly and helpful. As soon as we stepped inside we saw a dirty room, a used roll of toilet paper, a tiny balcony that was filthy, and a foul‑smelling mini‑fridge that still held an aluminum food tray; cleaning is only done every three days according to the sign by the doors, the breakfast was the same every day with very few items and clearly leftovers from previous days, we even had to ask for another roll of toilet paper, the air‑conditioner was badly positioned and ancient, there was no soundproofing, and after the single cleaning we received during our six‑night, seven‑day stay the bathroom wasn’t cleaned at all—just a quick sweep. Oh, and the room was extremely small.

“Orașul frumos, dar ce este în oraș nu e chiar frumos”

I contacted support and explained that I would arrive at the hotel well before check‑in, at 5 am, and they assured me they’d arrange an early check‑in or at least let us leave our bags at reception, but that never happened; when I got there at 5 am the person at the desk was actually sleeping on a couch, answered the door grumpily, told me there were no rooms available and wouldn’t let us store our luggage, so we stood in front of the hotel for two hours until a sanitation worker passed by at 7 am, asked what we were doing, knocked on the receptionist’s door and demanded they let us stay, and only then were we finally allowed to put our bags inside. The staff seem out of sync with bookings made through the platform, leaving you unsure whether you actually have a reservation even though you’ve paid.

The location is great—just a 5‑minute walk to Sultanahmet and the Hagia Sophia. The staff are very good, always ready to help. Special thanks for the help with a parcel—they even paid for its shipment. I recommend it! The only downside was that the room was a bit dark because there wasn’t enough natural light. Otherwise, everything was fine. For the price, it’s excellent.

“Recepción maleducada”

We’re a couple who have stayed at this hotel more than once. The first time was when we got married there in 2016. We had always been very satisfied and the staff were friendly. Now there’s an older gentleman at reception who is very rude. When we arrived, he asked us to prove we were married (which we understand), but his attitude was consistently disdainful and prejudiced, as if we were unwanted people. We spent some time trying to find our documents on our phones while he continued to treat us with contempt. Finally, he gave us a room just 1 meter from the reception, which was literally a dark hole, as if he wanted to “control” us. We complained and another gentleman at reception—who I think might be from Azerbaijan—was kind, understanding, and gave us a decent room. My wife felt humiliated, judged as if she were a street woman going to a hotel for sex services. I, as a Turkish man, felt despised and judged by a compatriot. We liked this hotel a lot, but this unpleasant experience made us decide not to return. We understand they want to be a respectable hotel, but they can’t judge us directly. We’re very disappointed.
