We stayed there with my mother and loved the incredibly tasty meals and the private open‑air bath; the location was also convenient for a quick trip to Ghibli Park.
The breakfast was good and the staff were helpful.
The room was spacious, featuring a balcony onsen, a large tatami area, and excellent facilities. The staff were extremely polite and helpful, which we really needed. The location is truly remote; on the way there we tried to use trains as much as possible, but the nearest station had no taxis at all – we called three services listed on the station board, and only the hotel receptionist managed to secure a taxi for us, checking in on our arrival time. On the return trip we attempted the free transfer, a 30‑minute bus ride to a train station 30 minutes from Nagoya station, but we only survived the hotel‑to‑Ghibli Park leg because our daughter was motion‑sick. The food options were limited: we were told western‑style choices were available for kids, but that was only true for dinner – breakfast consisted of three fully traditional sets. Overall it feels like a nice secluded spot but is quite overpriced.
“ゆっくりくつろげる温泉ホテル”
Everything—from the private bath and the food to the room—was excellent, but I wish breakfast had started earlier or offered a longer time slot; because my son’s match began early, we couldn’t enjoy a relaxed morning meal.
“We had an amazing time and appreciate the wonderful hospitality!”
The place was stunning and the complimentary shuttle to Ghibli Park worked perfectly for us. The private onsen was lovely, and they even handed us tickets for a nearby onsen. We only wish we had arrived earlier to make full use of everything. The cuisine was outstanding and the room was great! We truly appreciated the staff’s kindness. There was nothing we disliked; it was a wonderful experience and great value.
