Riad Swaka, in Marrakech, is a 10-minute walk from Jemaâ El Fna Square and souks, and 200 metres from Dar Si Said Museum. The riad features a patio, plunge pool, and rooftop terrace. Uniquely decorated rooms offer patio views, air conditioning, and private bathrooms with tadelakt walls. Moroccan breakfast and dinner are served, with free Wi-Fi and parking available.

Everything was perfect.

The staff were very professional and hospitable, always greeting us with a smile; the hotel was spotless and well maintained. The rooms were spacious, the interior design impeccable—both in the rooms and the Riad itself—and breakfast was tasty, all prepared on site. The location was very close to the Medina, which is great for frequent visitors. Several restaurants within walking distance offered both local and continental cuisine. For travelers without children who want to stay near the Medina, this is a solid choice. On the downside, the Riad sits in a pedestrian zone where cars can’t reach the door; you must walk through narrow streets with bags, which isn’t ideal. Those streets are a bit worn, making it hard to haul luggage, and the nearest parking is a fair distance away—something families with kids should keep in mind.

Reda was fantastic—kind, friendly, and helpful. We appreciated that our room was serviced daily. The location is great, and breakfast was freshly made when we went upstairs, which was nice. The mint tea was refreshing, and the presentation and aroma were lovely as we entered the lobby. I was a bit disappointed with the pool; the online photos look better. It was quite dirty and small, and I don’t think it’s cleaned regularly. We stayed in the junior suite: the beds were very firm, the two singles were small, and one was slightly sloped or sunken. The air‑con wasn’t powerful enough for the room. The bar above the shower fell on my head, which hurt (I forgot to mention it to them).

The breakfast was delicious and varied every day, the pool was very refreshing, and my kids loved it.

The location is unbeatable—right next to the souks yet tucked into a quiet courtyard. The path to the riad is winding, which is normal in the Medina, and we often found ourselves in dead ends during our runs. Jeema El Fna is just a 10‑minute walk away, and the old Jewish quarter on the left is a fascinating detour with fewer tourist stalls. Breakfast was excellent, even for vegans, and the room was clean and lovely. The staff were very friendly. Please be mindful of the neighbors, as riads are naturally noisy.
