The room was spacious, the bathroom huge, and everything looked super tidy and fully equipped; Charlotte was incredibly friendly, and we slept here a night before a flight from El Nido, which is super close, and spent the evening at Lio Beach.

I spent a fantastic 5‑day stay at Charlotte Place; the accommodation was clean, comfortable, and had everything needed for a relaxing visit. Charlotte was incredibly kind and helpful throughout, going above and beyond to help me hire a bike and book a tour, which made exploring the area so much easier. I also appreciated having my laundry done on site—a convenient bonus! Now and again a few insects appeared because the location is in nature, which is actually very nice!

The interior is fine and the shower area is large, but privacy is zero—thin walls and mesh windows let everyone hear what’s happening, and there’s no security because the place is far from the tourist zone, surrounded by poorer surroundings, no guard, a glass door with a simple lock and curtains, and mesh windows that can be covered but still let everyone see in. The location is zero: it’s super far from the tourist zone, the road to the hotel is long and muddy, no restaurants or proper shops nearby. The owner is unresponsive; I tried to get a refund because it didn’t meet my expectations, but the owner was away on a Sri Lanka trip and even after enough time had passed she still replies several days later or ignores me. Even though we negotiated cancellation and a refund on WhatsApp, she refused to write an application for a refund. Do not book this place at all.
