A lovely little stopover with great staff and food that was surprisingly inexpensive.

I loved the room; the bed was super comfortable and the bath was a real treat. However, I had stayed here before and was disappointed that the gluten‑free menu and breakfast, which were major reasons for my return, were now lacking. The breakfast only opened at 8, and when I arrived, the cleaner was still wiping tables and then hovered around me, which was unpleasant. I ended up eating dinner elsewhere because it seemed the chef or menu had changed.

Great cozy rooms and good, reasonably priced food in the pub. Could do with Netflix or similar. Dogs occasionally barking through the night. Cooked breakfast would be a bonus through the week
