It was perfect, this beautiful room, totally quiet in the middle of the city, Alexandra is a great host, nothing is missing, and if you’re into architecture you’ll be thrilled.

This is a real find, a gorgeous apartment in mid‑town on the Camino route, all new renovations are very well done, the whole place is a tribute to José Maria de Eça de Queirós, who “is generally considered to have been the greatest Portuguese writer in the realist style. Zola considered him to be far greater than Flaubert.” The entryway displays all works by Eça and other Portuguese writers; I looked at and tried to translate a poem by Pessoa. The landlady lives in the house next door and is wonderful. I’m not sure about the AC, but the windows open and it was cool at night.

Absolutely everything! Alexandra was kind and available, the spot was near everything, the room had a great view, and it was quiet. I’ll definitely return.
