New Summer Garden

“Lovely”

We stayed at New Summer Garden and it was great. The room was huge with a brand‑new renovated bathroom, and walking to the beach and nearby restaurants was easy. A short tuk‑tuk trip got us to Galle, and the staff were lovely.

We had a really great stay and stayed in room Aqua on the third floor. The sea view was beautiful and the balcony was large. The room and bathroom were spacious with plenty of storage, good AC and fan, a full‑length mirror, and USB sockets on each side of the bed. The bed was very large, comfortable, and had excellent pillows. The beach was right outside and we could have breakfast with our feet in the sand, choosing from a menu. Sun loungers and umbrellas were available, and there was plenty of shade. The staff were very kind, and we received a huge glass of juice as a welcome drink. They also arranged transport to Negombo. Many shops and restaurants are nearby, and the beach side is on the better side with fewer people. The steps are a bit difficult to walk; they are narrow and each step seems a different size and height, so it’s not recommended for those with mobility issues. Road noise is present but calms down around 11 pm.

This place sent me a WhatsApp message by saying has mistakenly done a double booking and to cancel the booking from my end just less than 24hours of my arrival. Really disappointed and don’t know who’s which party’s fault it is.
