A hostel for one night in Madrid that does its job. If you know where you’re going, you can’t complain about certain things. I chose it for its location because of work, but obviously it needs a major overhaul.

The price, cleanliness, and the fact that they moved me to a superior room because it was free were positives. The room had no table, so I couldn’t work comfortably with my computer.

It did what it was supposed to: two nights to sleep and shower, which is what we wanted. Comfortable beds, about fifteen minutes from the Mar de Cristal metro. A fridge in the room. Perfect service. There was a sewage‑like smell in the bathroom in the mornings, and no ventilation, so that might be the cause. I missed a large mirror; only the small one over the sink was there. The wallpaper walls let everything through, and early in the morning the cleaning staff made a lot of noise.
