The antique décor feels like a mini museum, the staff were very friendly and the room was clean. The air‑conditioning needs an upgrade – it had no temperature setting and started leaking early in the night, so we had to turn it off and sleeping in August heat was very uncomfortable.
“Appalling”
The location and breakfast were good. The cleanliness was very poor, furniture was damaged, the AC was broken, the bathroom was in disrepair with broken and missing tiles, the taps didn’t work and everything was dirty.
The hotel was great.
“Charming property”
The hotel sits within easy walking distance of the train station and the building itself has a lot of character; the breakfast was also pretty good, with pastries, yogurt and fresh fruit. The air‑conditioning unit was weak, so it was scorching in August; the ceilings in the room are very high but the room still felt stuffy, and the shower was on the weak side.
“For our one night stay it was adequate at best. If you like quirky in the extreme you’ll be fine.”
