The room was clean and the bed comfy, and the hotel’s location was handy for travel, being relatively close to the highway. Still, the road outside the windows was noisy even at night, and the terrace behind my room’s front door let everyone see in. The room lacked a kettle, so I had to go down to the restaurant for tea, and it was tiny, with two beds, one of which was as narrow as a train carriage.

Breakfast was tasty, with something hot each day, and the layout of the rooms was interesting. The location was good, just a short walk from our destination, Energylandia. We ended up in a different room than the one I had booked and pictured; with two teenage girls, we had to figure out how to avoid sleeping together on the mezzanine.

Everything was really great—friendly staff and a nice spot—but the rain shower was broken, water leaked over the top and straight onto exposed cables wrapped in tape, the TV didn’t work, and the sheets were dirty.
