We’ve stayed at Schloss Brunneg more than once, and it’s always worth it; the rooms are amazing, the breakfast is fantastic with very friendly service, and the surroundings are dreamy—just step out for a run or walk around Konstanz. We’ll definitely return.

“Traumhaft schlafen im Märchenschloss”

It wasn’t just a room—it was a suite! The space was incredibly generous, and the bathroom in my suite was truly large. Everything was tastefully decorated, blending modern and historic elements. My suite didn’t have its own kitchenette, but there was one right outside with a fridge, drinks, a coffee machine, and a kettle. I found a bottle of mineral water in the room. Most importantly, I slept heavenly—the bed is truly exceptional! The breakfast was abundant and lovingly presented. As an asthmatic, the stairs were a bit challenging, but worth it. Wi‑Fi isn’t available throughout the suite, which isn’t a big deal today but good to know.

“Eine Katastrophe und dafür 180€”

The rooms were spacious, but check‑in was impossible even though it was confirmed; the manager was not home and had forgotten her phone in the building, the front door was locked and no one answered the bell or our calls, even the emergency numbers the hotel gave us. A guest had to let us in, which was embarrassing. Also, there were two steps in the room that weren’t visible in the dark, causing my partner and me to fall and injure our legs and backs; we told the manager about it that morning. The dangerous staircase should have been lit.

“Nie wieder”

I was disappointed. I booked a suite but was told on arrival that the hotel was overbooked. I was then placed in a tiny attic room without air‑conditioning in almost 30 °C. After complaining, I got another room, but it was still far from the suite I had booked. A relaxed stay was nowhere near possible.
