We spent four days enjoying authentic, understated luxury at Thoukididis guesthouse. The village of Kapesovo retains a strong identity, and the guesthouse blends perfectly into the local spirit. Renovations draw on tradition with a touch of modernity, and the cuisine we tasted—using garden produce and local recipes—was exquisite, thanks to Janna. It’s a hidden paradise.

The place is gorgeous, very clean and comfortable. The hosts are adorable, caring, and helpful. The food was out of this world, and I can’t recommend this guesthouse enough!

The pension is excellently located for trips into the Zagori mountain region, right in the village. A free parking spot is nearby. The owners are very nice and helpful, making us feel at home. The breakfast is very tasty. Our room on the mountain side was fairly simple and comparatively dark for the price; we could have switched for an extra fee, but we didn’t.
