Adamo Akakura

The staff were fantastic and served a cooked breakfast. The location is great too; close to restaurants and easy access to Akakura Onsen skiing and a shuttle bus to other resorts.

We were thrilled with our time at Adamo; the beds were supremely comfortable, the location was spot‑on, and the staff were fantastic. Breakfast was tasty and satisfying.

“Super friendly new place close to everything. Would go back :)”

The new property impressed me with its room, and the staff were extremely friendly. There are several other options nearby, but I especially liked the free shuttle to and from the train station, and the breakfast was delicious. The large drying room for ski or snowboard gear was a real bonus, and the nearby snowboard hire shop was great, so it was easy to drop by right after checking in. The onsen left something to be desired; it needed a cleaner touch, and it seemed like they were having issues with it.

“Nice ski time and great snow in Myoko!”

Breakfast fell a little short of expectations, but I understand that the hotel has only been open for a year. More variety, like boiled eggs, would make it easier to run the breakfast service. Choices were very limited, and one day the coffee machine leaked, which we reported to the staff. The next day it was completely broken, so we only got instant coffee grounds. The family suite lacked a mini‑fridge, and the portable heaters made a lot of clicking noises when turned on or when set to a regulated reignited mode. The staff responded quickly to feedback; for instance, the indoor onsen was cleaned the very next day after we mentioned it.
