This is a complex of several large houses located in a quiet, peaceful spot near the beach. Note that some rooms may require quite steep climbs. It needs a refreshing renovation.

Everything matches the description; the rooms are a bit outdated.

My room had three positives: the price, the view from the window, and its large size. To reach a room with an ocean view you have to climb high up the mountain—literally a workout! Carrying luggage up there is tough. But the name Rock House isn’t given lightly, so I don’t count that minus against me. The two guys doing the cleaning can only take out trash, and over five days they never did it. When we checked in we were shocked at the condition of the room: spiderwebs on the ceiling in several spots, dust, dirty floors, and they didn’t even sweep properly. The room itself was tired, and for $30 I didn’t expect much more. But can you do a proper clean? I would strongly advise against this place to anyone, except for the stunning view. For the view I’d forgive a lot. Four stars for the view, two for room size. Otherwise I’d give it zero.

Great location, slightly away from the busy part of town, surrounded by lush tropical scenery and plenty of wildlife! Great budget price for a family! No complaints for the money!

The bed was large and comfortable, but the place was consistently noisy—at night, in the evening, and even in the morning—making it feel like just another paying guest.
