Exactly what you expect from a family run place in a pretty village in Middle Franconia: heartfelt, warm, rustic, practical, and traditional. The breakfast was varied and tasty.
The staff were very friendly, and they didn’t mind that I arrived a bit later. The food at the restaurant was tasty and reasonably priced, and I didn’t miss anything at the breakfast buffet – I’ll definitely come back.

The staff were very pleasant and you can tell it’s a family-run place run with heart. The breakfast was plentiful and had something for every taste. The meals in the nearby economy were also good and the portions were generous for serious eaters. The furnishings are a bit older, but everything is clean and meets all stated standards. Our dog was also welcome, and they were understanding when a “minor mishap” occurred. I would recommend this area for hikers, although there aren’t many attractions. All in all, a very nice and successful holiday.
