It was a once‑in‑a‑lifetime experience, but it’s 20 minutes on foot from San Isidro, which isn’t obvious at first. It’s worth every step, though it helps to know that beforehand. The host is quiet at first, but that’s just how people are in Buenos Aires and the surrounding area; patience is needed. We’re saying that. Haha.

The room quality and the hosts’ friendliness surprised us, but the drive in a 4×4 was tricky because there’s no signage on the way to the accommodation.

The place is dreamy, the room had a spectacular view, and the craft beer made with locally harvested ingredients was great. Talking with the owner about the village’s history was a highlight. No issues.

The room was comfortable with a nice view and a private shower, and the authenticity was real. The meals were decent, featuring local products. However, the lodging is hard to locate (little signage) and sits 1 km beyond San Isidro after climbing the valley. The welcome wasn’t very warm—no water offered after a 2½‑hour walk to reach the inn—and the hosts are not very talkative.
