The neighborhood was nice and quiet, close to two lochs and Arthur’s Seat, the host was friendly, and there was a pleasant surprise with an EU socket adapter in the room!

They never answered any DM questions. Only one light bulb worked out of three in the chandelier. The room and house were fine, the location was great, but the staff were ignorant.

The location is very good and makes it easy to reach the city center by public transport or even on foot if you enjoy that. The building has a pleasant old‑world charm that matches the historic and authentic feel of the city. The staff were also very accommodating and friendly. I was surprised to find that the private bathroom was on the other side of the hallway outside the room, which I didn’t realize when booking. It isn’t a huge issue, but it can become annoying if you’re in a hurry at night. Crossing the hallway feels a bit painful at that time 😅 Also, when I arrived there was a strong dust smell, probably from the duvet cover. The staff reacted quickly, gave me a clean duvet cover and blanket, and vacuumed the carpet. The next two nights were more pleasant!
