“Deludente”
Little and nothing. The room size was a negative.
The price was good. The shower had a broken door, a screw on the floor, and the bathroom smelled bad.
Me gustó la ubicación, es un hostal muy céntrico. La cama muy incómoda y los baños, inodoros e incluso lavamanos diminutos
“Mala relación calidad-precio y una experiencia decepcionante”
I booked a double room with a double bed, paying more than for a room with two single beds, but when we arrived we were given two single beds. After I complained, they finally swapped us into a room with a double bed, yet the noise was so intense that, to avoid further complaints or leaving, we had to take the mattress off the bed, lay it on the floor, and sleep there. The bathroom was awful too. The shower was so small that a slightly heavier person like me barely fit. The water was lukewarm and had very low pressure. The sink was so tiny that when washing my face or brushing my teeth I ended up wetting the floor. There was no air conditioning either. For the same price I could have booked a room at Hotel Santiago León, a 4‑star property. I didn’t because they had no double‑bed rooms available. When I saw that Hostal Julio César had charged almost the same and gave us two single beds, I almost cancelled and went to Hotel Santiago León. The worst part was that Hostal Julio César did have a double‑bed room available, but they didn’t give it to us at first, even though I had paid more and explicitly selected it. I had to call them to complain because they have no front desk. We also bought a device from the vending machine at the entrance for a lot of money, only to find it didn’t even come with a battery. We could have bought it cheaper at a pharmacy with a battery included.
Very central and clean. Bad smell coming from the bathroom – probably from the drain.
